Tonight we had some special guests from Scotland train with us. Shihan Martin Marlborough (Branch Chief of Scotland) and his Wife Belle were in the Calgary area holidaying. We had an enjoyable class covering some advanced kata and the 32 movements of self -defence. Afterwards we enjoyed a great dinner at a local steak house. Shihan and his wife said they would be back next year around the same time for the North American and International Black Belt Conference scheduled for Banff in October of 2006. Thanks for the visit and we will see you soon.

The Kyokushin spirit was alive at the McKenzie Lake dojo this evening with forty two people training in the adults class. It was Lalena's last class with us as she is moving to North Vancouver and will now train with Sensei Tats. We will miss you Lalena. Tonight was also an interesting night as we had some special guests shooting some footage at our dojo for an upcoming program. Indeed the world will see that Kyokushin is the Strongest Karate.

It is always a pleasure to see how large and united our Kyokushin family really is. Students from three different dojos (Calgary, Bearspaw and Cremona) trained advanced kata and taoshiwaza (takedown) methods together tonight.
