On February 28th, Calgary Alberta experienced TYPHOON, the 2009 version of the Calgary Cup. The event again took place at the beautiful Deerfoot Inn and Casino. This year there were 267 entries from throughout Canada. The Vision of the Touranment Committee was To provide the most exhilarating, inspiring and memorable Kyokushin experience to all that attend. The goal was met and far exceeded through the large number of event divisions that offered opportunity to participants and volunteers of all ages and abilities. The demonstrations offered spectators a glimpse into the magic and excitement of TYPHOON, and this years Starry night gala once again topped of a spectacular day.
