The 12th World open Karate Tournament and the 2019 Elite Tournament were held in conjunction with one another from November 22-24. Spencer Gillespie from our club came as the only youth representative from Canada. All of his work over the past 4 months began to pay off as Spencer placed 5th in his 70 kg and under division. Congratulations. Japanese fighter Mikio Uedo became the winner of the 12th world open, the first Japanese fighter to win in 16 years.
