On December 12th the annual Calgary Team Tournament was held. Over 120 participants came together for the second dojo tournament of the year. This year a total of 9 divisions were held with the double elimination format in place allowing participants and officials to gain experience in the ring. Competitors need to practice their skills many times a week in order to be proficient in the ring, the same hold true for officials. These dojo tournaments are an excellent way to gain that experience and it shows. Everyone did an exceptional job. This year we had the first ever tie between teams. To break the tie all Kata scores that were dropped in the original kata scoring were added and it was Team 2 that ended taking first place. Division winners were as follows.
