2016 REPORTS | Alberta Open
Alberta Open
9 April, 2016
On April 9th the annual Alberta Open was held in Edmonton. This year the event went full circle as it was held at the same location of the very first Alberta Open at the Commonwealth Community Centre. This year 15 competitors from our club participated in the event. I am proud to say everyone did an outstanding job representing themselves and our club. Thank you. One of the biggest challenges in Kyokushin Karate is to gain the confidence to participate in a tournament. There are many tournaments offered throughout our organization in Western Canada. I suggest you give it a try. You will be amazed at how great you feel once you have overcome the fear and have competed in your first tournament. We hope to see you at the next event. Thank you to Sensei Irek for organizing this years’ Alberta Open. As always we look forward to next year.
