On Saturday April 8, the 2017 Alberta Open was held at Commonwealth Recreation Centre in Edmonton Alberta. Nearly 100 competitors challenged one another in Kata, Non-contact and Knockdown divisions. Competitors from Invermere, Dawson Creek and all the dojo's in Alberta participated in the event which first began in 1992 at the same location. Special thanks goes out to Sensei Irek Slobodzian and his crew for their hard work in making the day a success. Thank you to everyone who attended from Calgary. You all did an amazing job and did an outstanding job representing yourselves and our club. We hope to see you all next year for another great day. OSU!
