From August 22 - September 5 Instructors at Calgary Kyokushin Karate went through the CKK Instructors course. The course is used to standardize the technical aspects of Kyokushin Karate as well as renforcing a standardized way of teaching. All training aspects including Kihon, Ido Geiko, Kata, Self-Defence, Ippon kumite and Kumite are covered ensuring everyone is on the same page. The course also stresses the importance effective communication skills for specific age groups and the different ways we can communicate. The course was first created nearly 15 years ago and is a highlight for many of our senior members.
